Shannon, your works are so much fun! It's always a place I can come when I want some cheering up! What you do with dolls is most amazing. Of course I like this one, especially, given my pleasure with abstracts. I'm not sure that is what PARTY is. But it really is fun. And you (or I or anybody, I think) can find so many different things, pictures, etc., in it at different times! Thanks again for giving us this! Oh, and I almost forgot to tell you that I really enjoy your autobiography! I'd hire you any day! Peace, etc. Bruce.

This is just GORGEOUS, Carol! Looks just like a painting. That always, to me, is a successful photograph, for I would love to be able to paint something to look like this, but do not have the talent for it, so when one of my photos remind me of a painting I am very pleased with it. Thank you SO very much for all your delightful and complimentary comments upon my work. You made my week!! I put this in my favorites!

So, how did I miss this one? It's really a good example of how ambiguity makes a picture so interesting. As Kevin says above, it's both a nude and a study. I think it's really well done. Bravo! And thanks for your compliment on my "Nude in Contrast No. 2." Your observations are so much appreciated, partly because you know the craft so well. -- Joe.

Posted on 10/13/2009 at 03:50 PM
Another beautiful painting, Ron! The early fall colors are beautifully portrayed and you did an excellent job on the roof. This place reminds me of when I lived in the mountains because a mountain rose straight up behind our house like it does in your painting. .
Posted on 10/13/2009 at 03:48 PM
Looks like the famous painters original... How did you do that?????

Thanks for the comment Fred, but in fact, this picture was not altered. What you see here is the actual picture w/o changes.
Posted on 10/13/2009 at 02:44 PM
Thanks for your comment on my picture. I didn't intend to imply that your image was altered; only that I like the way you controlled camera position to create the perspective between foreground and background. Good work!

Hi Wayne, thank you for your comment(s) I'll respond to each accordingly. These series of images were done in Rhyolite, Nevada, we spent 5 days shooting in and around Las Vegas area. If you have had the chance to go to Rhylolite you will see that this (including the mosiac couch image) is part of a tourist attraction and it is meant for people to stand inside. Actually there's 12 statues made to represent "the Last Supper". I have many images done with these statues which makes a collection of our body of work this is only 1 of them.

Love the sepia tone.. Love the composition!! .
Posted on 10/13/2009 at 02:04 PM
Love the color contrast, again I want to see more poses in the same location. Maybe that could be a selling point or idea to pursue.
Posted on 10/13/2009 at 07:30 PM
Hi Wayne, This particular shot was done on day 3 of our expedition, this was done in Red Rock Caynon by Roger Springs in Nevada just outside Las Vegas. We created over 5,000 images (no I'm not joking) and this is only one of them. It took a long time to review the images to choose a strong enough image to debut our work, worry not - there's lots more to come see - we spent alot of time on this rock. LOL!
Posted on 10/13/2009 at 02:01 PM
This is good can see your architect influence, Mmmmm.... it grows on you, the more you look at it. Thanks.

Mi Amiga Fanny, i Me encanta! Muy bueno. Hasta luego. xoxo, Anne.
Posted on 10/13/2009 at 01:59 PM
It works, I would like to see this as a triptych, same shot only with you in three different poses.
Posted on 10/13/2009 at 07:32 PM
Hi Wayne, this was done a few miles away from Rhyolite (the mosiac couch) just off to the side of the highway you see a series of crumbled structures. We took many images so finding more images on the same vein to make a tryptoch shouldn't be hard to do!

Love the model, like the couch, background is a distraction. .
Posted on 10/13/2009 at 04:02 PM
There's a background? Who can see past that great model and the wonderful couch. First rate work.
Posted on 10/13/2009 at 07:35 PM
Personally, I like the background too! It's show's how unique the location really is! I dunno about you but have you seen a funky ceramic couch in the middle of the desert? HA! Wayne, love your comments and you just gave me an idea, I asked the photographer to bring all of his cameras and I had the chance to play around with them in between shoots. I must say it was difficult putting the cameras down just to get infront of one. Anyhow, I will post some of my pics that will give you an idea of how cool the shoot locations are! .
