Very interesting composition. Where were you took it? .

Your pencil drawings are superb. I read your bio. and see that you just recently started with pencil. I tto am a self-taught artist, and i think that pencil is so much more expressive. The mare and the colt that you did shows so much more emotion that if you had used color. I find that using color detracts from most drawings, especially automobiles and animal life. A secret that I have recently discovered for shadowing is the common paper table napkins from the grocery store. (But don't tell anyone.) Anyway, I'd like to exchange conversation with you and maybe trade some artistic secrets with a friend from the north. I particularly like the simplicity of your work. Sometimes I think that my art is to detailed. Your art is really goo, and gets even better the more I look at it.

Beautiful work Ray. I can almost feel the water rolling up on the shore. It reminds me a little of another artist who used to paint seascapes along the southern California coast called Marshall Mitchell.
