Outstanding piece of artwork Aleta. Excellent composition. Very beautiful contrast in color. It's rich in style and feel. I love the way you paint eagles and horses. You were born to paint them. You have purfect balance of color with the eagle and water, and the stallion and sky. That helps to add richness to all the other colors. Marvellous background. The leaves on your tree branches sparkes like gold. Your stallion is of magnificent form. A great feel of movement.spectacular look of depth. Very unique in every way. Amazing work of art Aleta.

Very interesting composition. Where were you took it? .
Posted on 10/19/2009 at 09:44 PM
Your pencil drawings are superb. I read your bio. and see that you just recently started with pencil. I tto am a self-taught artist, and i think that pencil is so much more expressive. The mare and the colt that you did shows so much more emotion that if you had used color. I find that using color detracts from most drawings, especially automobiles and animal life. A secret that I have recently discovered for shadowing is the common paper table napkins from the grocery store. (But don't tell anyone.) Anyway, I'd like to exchange conversation with you and maybe trade some artistic secrets with a friend from the north. I particularly like the simplicity of your work. Sometimes I think that my art is to detailed. Your art is really goo, and gets even better the more I look at it.

This is a wonderful picture of "Breeze" You have captured his expression perfectly. I find cats easy to paint--but dogs a bit harder. I can see you are a dog-lover-- where they scare me a bit. Could be that when I was aged 3 ---many moons ago, I pulled a dog's tail and was bitten on the nose. Thanks for your comment....Val.
