I was wrong last time! I prefer #2 to # 1! Seriously, Toni, I just get so pleased with so many of your paintings -- not because of topics, etc., but because they seem "just right!" as paintings, too. I really like the many dance and music paintings -- for the "movement" in them, and for the arrangement of the figures and the various similar but different styles of figures in these paintings. Each painting seems a dance itself, and each of the figures in it dance. I also especially like mono-chromes, and you really know how to be effective with it. I must have mentioned before about us being near neighbors. It would be a shame if I can't meet you some time, if you have a show, say. I am not well a lot, and more times than not I can not get around -- never by myself. So, that's difficult to plan. But it will happen some time, I think. Keep up the wonderful work. Oh, I lost track there. I wanted to tell you that your paintings often cheer me up a lot -- I tend to get depressed -- I don't write very often, but thank you for your wonderful work. Just plain gorgeous, Renate. I was drawn by my favorite colors first, then to how nicely you merge them; then to the perfect expression; and only then to the title, and that makes it even more special! I like taking time to look at paintings in sort of that order: titles last. I really appreciate, too, the happy contentment in her satisfaction. This is one of those shots you either get it or you don't. The fence boards created the frame and our cat posed. The lighting was right on.

On one hand there is a roughness and mysteriousness of the cave in your picture and on the other hand I almost can feel a friendly bonfire in there. It's a great artwork!
