I've taken the time looking at this and even closed my one eye to see interesting and scary faces, a half dressed woman way beyond and so on. Digital abstract, for sure. It's not just a typical digital abstract, it took more concentration and so I have to respect this work! Great job! rh.
Posted on 11/07/2009 at 10:30 PM
Leah is one of my favorites. I wanted to show a different and sweeter side to Pit-bulls. The side people dont seem to see in this breed.
Posted on 11/07/2009 at 10:28 PM
Oh...I LOVE this one! I take photographs of old abandoned houses and I'd love to have happened upon this one which has sooo much character! Might I ask where this was taken, David? That porch...the green screen door..the upstairs window in the gabled roof..the picket fence to the right and that ancient pine tree! ALL pure beauty to me. Thanks for this. In my faves!

Dear Marsha, Again thank you for your kind replay, you asked me how I painted: Doing what he loves. well to be honest. this is the third portrait, My first portrait was: the girl with the pearl earring, and the secend was my daughter, that was the hardest, I beleave it was because I know her in and out and trying to get that to come through a painting it was hard. then the most resent was: Doing what He loves. who is my brother in law. so I guess what I can say to encourage you would be to first start with someone you dont know. and how ever it turns out it is your art! and its beautiful. you can do it. I would love to see a portrait when you finish one.:) God Bless you Tina Haeger .
Posted on 11/07/2009 at 10:08 PM
Hey David! I want to thank you for your comment upon my portrait of Tom McCorkle and I appologize for being so late in my acknowledgement. I am on here so sporadicly and I tend to miss some of my comments that way. I've looked at your work and you do great macros! However, this Night Owl shot is my favorite, I think. What a perfect silhouette and you caught the owl at just the right moment when he turned his head enough for you to see both of lhis "tufts"...or "horns"! Really a super shot. I'll go check out the rest of your work now. Thanks again! Julie.
Posted on 11/07/2009 at 10:06 PM

Wow, Kyle, THIS is my favorite of your work so far. I love the clarity of the cross and that you have it off center, which always makes the shot more interesting. You've made something ordinary into something extraordinary. Great job! I'm putting this into my favorites. Julie.

Kyle! I do not get on this site too much, which means I might miss out on a comment or two here and there, which is what happened with yours! I'm so sorry it took me this long to respond! I saw your name and thought...."hmmmm...this name sounds pretty familiar..." Then I saw it was from our home town! Whoo hooo! Thank you so much for taking the time to look through my pictures, Kyle and most of all to take the time to leave me a message. I'm glad you liked "His and Hers". It is one of my very favorites of my b/w once also. I just looked through all of your work and you have some really nice ones also, fella! ;0) This one, "Salsa" is really unique. I, too like the color scheme. I wondered what it would look like if you placed the tablecloth upon the floor and re-arranged the still life just as you have it here and then take a shot of it from directly above it...not at an angle. Just an idea. Your macros are very good, too, Kyle. Keep it up and I'll check in from time to time. Thanks again, buddy! Julie.

Hello Ron, your work is fascinating, I love the complexity and simplicity, especially in this one.....people get to the same spot through different routes, and I found a pattern in one of my works that fascinated me more and more as I repeated it (by hand), then looked at it from a distance, and it changes before your eyes, like yours do. Have a look at my SeeTheWhales....bet you could have fun digitalizing it too. Vivian www.viviansartworks.com.
